Mil Gaya Hum Ko Saathi Mil Gaya - R.D.Burman developed the title music of "Kaala Sona" (1975) to come up with the tune of this song. Burman's tune for this song was adapted from the mukhda of a song he had composed earlier - "Jeena Toh Hai Par Ae Dil Kahan" ("5 Dushman", 1973). The tune of the song was based on a Pakistani qawwali. However, it had remained unused and was later used by him in "Kasme Vaade" (1978). Burman had originally composed the tune of the song "Pyar Ke Rang Se" ("Kasme Vaade", 1978) for this film. This was Nasir Husain's last hit film as a director.Biddu, who composed and produced this song, may have used a portion of it to compose his hit song "Aap Jaisa Koi" ("Qurbani", 1980). Kajal Kiran's opening scene in this film had her dancing to the song "Dance Little Lady Dance" (1976) by Tina Charles.This was the debut Hindi film of actress Kajal Kiran.Nasir Husain had experimented with this format earlier in "Yaadon Ki Baaraat" (1973) and used it again in the film "Zamaane Ko Dikhana Hai" (1981). The medley included four songs - "Chand Mera Dil Chandni Ho Tum", "Aa Dil Kya Mehfil Hai", "Tum Kya Jaano Mohabbat Kya Hai" and "Mil Gaya Humko Sathi Mil Gaya". This album became famous for its medley song sequence lasting more than ten minutes.
